Title track OPEN sets the tone for the album. It’s a brooding, intensely powerful song which reminds us of the possibilities available to us when we take God at His word. “Heaven’s door is OPEN” – is the crux of the track. It’s written by Joe Blustin (‘Emmanuel’) and Samuel Lane, the writer of ‘Beautiful’, and the man behind the critically-acclaimed album – The Fire. Joe started writing it after having a vision of heaven, the city on the Hill, and feels there’s a real urgency in it.
