It’s tempting as an adult to go back to songs that have a nostalgic or significance to your younger self. We have always attempted to create new songs that hopefully are creating that moment in the lives of kids for this generation rather than dipping back into that well. But sometimes you can introduce young people to a timeless classic that says so much. It’s also great to have songs for our younger ones to have them sing these words. This version started as a simple guitar part and grew from there, beautifully sung by our amazing Hillsong Kids choir and directed by Fran Olson, vocal teacher and director extraordinaire. The simple songs are sometimes require the most control vocally and this is one of them.
