Has singing into a camera got you down? Are you more critical of your speaking and singing voice than ever before? How do you navigate smaller bands and no congregational exchange?
In this previously recorded webinar we explored the spiritual and technical role of the vocalist in worship ministry. We also touched on how to best care for our voice, grow in our technical abilities and spiritually thrive during this season of quarantine.
At the close, there is a âmaster classâ section set aside for participation and Q+A. Donât miss this incredible time of training. Bring your voice and come expectant to be encouraged and inspired.
Brought to you by Vineyard Worship and Vineyard School of Worship.

DIANE THIEL-SHARP
Vocalist & Coach
For over thirty years, Diane has been singing, writing songs, touring, and recording. She is a gifted vocalist who carries with her a very rich history of practical experience and music expertise.
During the 80âs, Diane was signed to Light Records and toured with the band Triloje. She also toured the Midwest and the Chicago-land college and club scenes performing with alternative rock band, The Bondâlisted by The Chicago Sun-Times as âone of the best-unsigned bands in Chicago.â Diane is also a worship leader within the Vineyard Church Movement and has traveled extensively with Vineyard Music USA, leading worship concert events at numerous churches around the country, as well as in Australia, Canada and Bosnia. She is a published songwriter for Vineyard Music including the songs, âIf You Say Go,â âCome, Lord Jesusâ and âYou Amaze Me.â
In 1999, Diane began working directly under Jan Smith at Jan Smith Studios and began coaching vocalists in mid-2000. For over 10 years she has worked with artists from every genre helping them find their sound and hone their craft. Her work has taken her to movie sets, churches, recording studios, and live performances. Her coaching style has been formed by her experience of first being an artist. Technique is important but must serve the client in their unique, authentic artistic expression.
SARAH ELMER
Vocalist & Coach
Sarah Elmer is a true East Coast girl who pastors at the Vineyard church in Chester Springs, PA. She has been married to her bff Josh for over a decade and is mom to three fantastic kids. Sarah fell in love with music when she was just a little girl, army crawling under the pews of her church while her grandmother directed the choir. Memories of sitting in the glow of the stain glass windows flood her mind every time she hears classic hymns like âIn the Gardenâ or âAt the Cross.â These moments were just the beginning of her pursuit of music and beauty. Sarah has sung ever since she can remember and has had the incredible privilege to have studied with some fantastic classically trained vocalists since the age of twelve. While her teachers wanted her to devote herself to musical theater and opera, things changed when she walked into a dank, cinderblock, industrial garage that was spray painted black and was full of sweaty teenagers singing rock songs and crying out to God. The presence of God was so tangible in that room and like no other she had ever experienced before! Ever since that moment, she has been committed to pursuing God through this expression of worship and inviting others into that same space.
With over 15 years of Worship leading experience and 10+ years of being in vocational ministry, Sarah is passionate about seeing others grow as leaders, pastors, and musicians while doing the same herself. Being trained in the classical vocal technique, she cares (almost TOO much) about seeing people take care of their voice in a way that will allow them to be in ministry for a long time and after seeing both the highs and lows in ministry, Sarah also cares deeply about seeing people care for their hearts and souls in a way that will keep them in ministry and in health for the long haul.
