This story of Moses and the burning bush appears in the book of Exodus 3 and 4.
Moses was tending his father-in-law Jethro's sheep in the land of Midian when he saw a baffling sight on Mount Horeb. There, where an ordinary bush should have been burning up into ash and embers as Moses approached it, there stood one that had caught fire but refused to go out! And then from within its very self came a voice: "Moses!"
